“Aphelion” is a layered pop-rock debut by Isabella Haddock, built on tension and release, tracing a cyclical return to what is known to be harmful. Drawing on orbital motion, it captures the illusion of distance at the point of being farthest, yet still bound to return. It moves in waves of rupture and return, examining the inevitability of repetition within a toxic attachment.
